Make a clay penguin - family clay art workshop
Saturday 30 November, 10am to 1pm
Spend a morning making a lovely penguin from clay. You will be shown how to sculpt the clay using pinch pot techniques which is suitable for all abilities. Once your penguin sculpture has been made you will be able add colour with glazes. Your penguin will be approximately 12cm in height.
Your tutor will then take away your creations to dry and fire in her kiln. This will take approximately 2/3 weeks when they will be returned to the museum for you to collect in time for Christmas.
Once finished, your piece of artwork will be taken away by your tutor to be fired in her own kiln and can be collected from the Weald and Downland Living Museum at a later date (usually 2-3 weeks).
£50 per pair/adult and child combination. Suitable for ages 6 years and up.
An additional child ticket can be purchased for £20, please call 01243 811021.
