Leaded Light Stained Glass Workshop

This is a practical and intensive two day course perfect for a beginner or improver wishing to learn or refresh themselves on the Medieval art of traditional lead work stained glass; the cutting of coloured and textured glass and framing it in lead. During the 2 days you will learn how to construct a 11” x 11” panel from start to finish.
The tutor will guide you through each step of the stained glass process. You will be able to select from one of several predesigned templates, also known as cutlines or ‘cartoons’, and then select beautiful glass to suit your chosen design, giving it your own unique look. You will be shown how to cut the glass to the pattern and how to cut and shape your lead came. You will solder and cement your panel, then clean and polish it ready to take home.
Traditional stained glass is great fun with a real hands on construction process, you will be amazed at what you have created by the end of the 2 days.
