The Repair Shop: Crafts In The Barn Book Signing
Weald & Downland Living Museum celebrate the launch of the latest Repair Shop book ‘Crafts In The Barn’ with an exclusive book signing event on Thursday, 12 October at 6:00pm.
To celebrate the launch of The Repair Shop:Crafts In The Barn book, we are hosting an exclusive book signing event in our Museum gallery, with some of the much-loved craft experts from the show, including Jay Blades, Dom Chinea & Will Kirk.
The beloved team behind BBC’S The Repair Shop are allowing readers to step into the ‘workshop of dreams’ for a second time, with the release of their new book, The Repair Shop: Crafts in the Barn.
Each expert explains their craft, their love for it and the restoration process. Complete with heartwarming stories, from a Ukrainian suitcase to a matchstick clock to a 1920s British Passport. The experts use crafts as varied as leatherwork, woodwork, metalwork, art and ceramic restoration, capturing in the process the true magic of the barn. This new book includes quotations from the experts as well as Jay Blades on some unique restorations recently featured on the program. Photographed on location at the Weald & Downland Museum, readers enter the world of the experts, and in turn, experience the heartwarming delight of restoration crafts.
Tickets for the event are limited and priced at £22.00 each. The ticket strictly gives you x1 admission ticket and x1 hardback copy of the book to the book signing with is located in the Museum gallery - there will not be access to The Repair Shop during this event.
Due to the capacity of the venue we will not be allowing additional guests to enter the book signing event. Additional books are not able to be purchased on the evening to enter the book signing. To book your spot please follow the link.
