Weald and Downland Living Museum Ticket Portal

The first part of this course will involve a walk around the Weald and Downland Museum where we will photograph and or sketch ideas, taking inspiration from the colours and patterns seen in the local landscape and buildings. We will take this inspiration back to the classroom and create our own Weald and Downland museum inspired stranded colourwork patterns. First we will convert our ideas into repeatable patterns on graph paper, then we will create swatches and experiment with colour, using naturally dyed, locally sourced Sussex yarn. By the end of the day you will have a Weald and Downland inspired swatch, ready to incorporate into a knitted item of your choice.
