The Twelve Days of Christmas - Design and Make Your Own Christmas Decorations

Saturday 04 November 2023

This ticket covers one adult and one child as a pair.

Why not bring your parent, guardian, grandparent, older sibling or favourite adult to the Weald and Downland Living Museum for a fun creative workshop to design and make your own Christmas Tree decorations from clay inspired by the well-known song the Twelve Days of Christmas.

We will learn about the origins of the song and how its meaning has changed over the years and discuss ideas for your own designs. Your tutor will then demonstrate how to transfer your drawn designs onto the clay to make a hanging Christmas decoration. Templates will also be provided to draw around if preferred. Each participant may make up to 3 Christmas decorations.

At the end of the day, the tutor will take your piece away to kiln fire it. Your fired piece will then be available for collection from the Weald and Downland Museum a few weeks later.

This ticket covers one adult and one child as a pair as well as well as the kiln firing of the pieces.
